We already made a flag of Russia in one of the previously published instructions. Today I want to show you another variation.  And most importantly, I am going to make it in a form of a hat or crown if you wish. Inflate three balloons (white, blue and red) leaving about 15 cm flat tails (Pic 1).

Tie nozzles of the white and the blue balloons in one knot (Pic 2).

We are going to twist all bubbles of the same about 5 cm size. Twist the first blue bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the first red bubble (Pic 4).

Lock the free ends of the blue and the red bubbles in one lock. Twist the first white bubble (Pic 5).

Twist the second white and the second blue bubbles (Pic 6).

Lock free ends of the second white and blue bubbles in one lock (Pic 7).

Twist the second and third red bubbles. Twist the third blue bubble. Lock free ends of the last red and the last blue bubbles in one lock (Pic 8).

Twist the next two white bubbles. Twist the next blue bubble (Pic 9). Lock free ends of the last white and the last blue bubbles in one lock twist.

Work in this fashion to make as long piece of fabric as you want. You can make the smallest Russian flag by twisting 3 - 4 bubbles of each color. To make a flag in a shape of a hat you have to twist about 14 - 17 bubbles of this size. I made 16 bubbles of each color in this example (Pic 10).

Wrap the sculpture around your head to measure the size of the hat (Pic 11).

Lock the free end of the last (the 16th) red bubble with the nozzle of the red balloon (Pic 12 and 13).

Lock nozzles of the white and blue balloons with the free ends of the last white and the last blue bubbles (Pic 13).

Cut off the rest of the balloons and tie off the ends (Pic 14 and 15).

Congratulations! We have made the flag of Russia out of balloons in a form of hat or crown. Have fun and happy twisting :)
