Balloon doll


Materials: two balloons; an air pump; a permanent marker and scissors.

Inflate a balloon leaving a four—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

The first three bubbles you twist to make the head. Twist the first two—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Twist the second soft one—inch bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the third two—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the chain of the three (the first through the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5). This step is marked with arrows between points A and D on the scheme.

Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 6). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme. You have made the head.

The next five bubbles you twist in the pop up twist to make the arms. Twist the fourth four—inch bubble (Pic 7).

Twist the fifth soft one—inch bubble (Pic 8).

Twist the sixth one—inch bubble (Pic 9). You will pop the sixth bubble.

Twist the seventh soft one—inch bubble (Pic 10).

Twist the eighth four—inch bubble (Pic 11).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the fourth through the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 12). This step is marked with arrows between points D and I on the scheme.

Lock both ends of the seventh bubble in one lock twist (Pic 13). This step is marked with arrows between points G and H on the scheme.

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 14). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme.

Twist the ninth three—inch bubble (Pic 15). It’s the body.

The next four bubbles you twist to make the legs. Twist the tenth five—inch bubble (Pic 16).

Twist the eleventh one—inch bubble (Pic 17).

Twist the twelfth one—inch bubble (Pic 18).

Twist the thirteenth five—inch bubble (Pic 19).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last four (the tenth through the thirteenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 20). This step is marked with arrows between points J and K on the scheme. The rest of the balloon is the fourteenth bubble. You may cut off the fourteenth bubble or keep it.

Pop up the sixth bubble (Pic 21 and 22).


Use the second balloon to make the skirt/ flower (Pic 23).

Attach the skirt to the doll by forcing it between the body and legs bubbles of the doll (Pic 24 through 26).



Use the permanent marker to draw the face (Pic 27).

You may fix the skirt the way you like it and twist and attach another balloon to make the hair (Pic 28). Congratulations, you have made the doll.
