How to make balloon butterfly


Materials: two balloons, a permanent marker and an air pump.

Inflate a balloon leaving a three—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

The first bubble you twist to make the head of the butterfly. Twist the first five—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 3). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 1.

The next two bubbles you twist in the ear twist to hold the head in the proper positions. Twist the second soft one—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the second bubble (Pic 5). This step is marked with arrows between the points B and C on the scheme 1.

Twist the third soft one—inch bubble (Pic 6).

Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 7). This step is marked with arrows between points C and D on the scheme 1.

Twist the 4th two—inch bubble (Pic 8).

The next two bubbles you twist to make the wings of the butterfly. Twist the fifth ten—inch bubble (Pic 9).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 10). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme 1.

Twist the sixth ten—inch bubble (Pic 11).

Lock both ends of the sixth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 12). This step is marked with arrows between points F and G on the scheme 1.

The rest of the balloon is the seventh bubble. It’s the tail of the butterfly (Pic 13)

Use the permanent marker to draw the face of the butterfly (Pic 14).

Use the second balloon of any color to make the second pair of the wings. Inflate the second balloon leaving a half of the inch of the flat tail (Pic 15).

Twist the first bubble one inch less than the half size of the balloon (Pic 16).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 17). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 2.

Twist the second bubble of the same size as the first bubble (Pic 18). The rest of the balloon is the third bubble.

Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 19). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme 2.

You have made the second pair of the wings (Pic 20).

Lock the third bubble of the second balloon between the wings of the first balloon. Fix all bubbles in proper positions (Pic 21 through 24).




Congratulations, you have made the butterfly (Pic 25).
