Today we are going to use slightly modified three fold hat and two lollipops to make Mickey or Minnie mouse hat. Use two black balloons to make two the same size lollipops (Pic 1). We are going to use lollipops to make the ears. Make sure to keep at least three-inch bubble and about one-inch flat tail at the end of the balloon.

Inflate black balloon leaving about two-inch flat tail to make the hat (Pic 2).

Use balloon to measure the size of the head. Twist the first bubble half the size of the head. Twist the second bubble of the same size as the first bubble (Pic 3).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first two (the first and the second) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 4). We have made the simple two fold hat.

Now we have to measure the size of the chain of the next three bubbles. We are going to stretch it between the first and the second bubble. In this example (for my head) it is about the same as the first/or the second bubble. Twist the third about three-inch bubble. Twist the fourth about five-inch bubble. Twist the fifth about three-inch bubble (Pic 5).

Lock the free end of the fifth bubble between the first and the second bubble (Pic 6).

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end. We have made the hat (Pic 7 through 9)

The next step is to prepare the lollipopsWe are going to use the rest of the lollipop balloon to twist three bubbles. Twist the first up to one-inch bubble. Twist the second soft about one-inch bubble. Twist the third soft about one-inch bubble (Pic 10).

Lock all ends of the last two (the second and the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 11 and 12). We need the second and third bubble to keep the ear in fixed position.

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 13).

Lock the last two ear bubbles between the fourth and the fifth hat bubbles (Pic 14 and 15).

Lock the last two ear bubbles of the other ear between the third and the fourth hat bubbles. Fix all bubbles in proper positions. Congratulations, we have made the Mickey Mouse hat (Pic 16 through 19).

We can make the Minnie Mouse hat by attaching any flower (I would use small size flowers) to the Mickey Mouse hat. In this example I am going to make one balloon butterfly or bow. Inflate purple (red, pink or any other Minnie's color) balloon leaving about five-inch flat tail (Pic 20).

Twist the first soft about four-inch bubble. Twist the second soft about four-inch bubble (Pic 21).

Lock all ends of the first and the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 22).

Twist the third soft about one-inch bubble. Twist the fourth soft about one-inch bubble (Pic 23).

Lock all ends of the third and the fourth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 24). We have made simple bow.

Let's work some more. Twist the fifth soft about six-inch bubble. Twist the sixth soft about six-inch bubble (Pic 25).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the fifth and the sixth) bubble in one lock twist (Pic 26).

To make a butterfly you can cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end. In this example, I just move the rest of the balloon on the back side of the sculpture, it is hiding behind the sculpture (Pic 27).

Lock all ends of the fifth and the sixth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 28 and 29). We have made one balloon butterfly or fancy bow. We can attach the butterfly/ bow to the hat with flat balloon. Or we can use slightly inflated balloon to make a bracelet in the same fashion as we did in instruction "Bee Bracelet".

There is another way to attach the bow. Let's use pink balloon for this example. Twist and lock in one lock twist all ends of the first two bubbles (Pic 30).

Twist the third soft about one-inch bubble. Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist.  Twist the fourth about one-inch bubble. Twist the fifth soft about one-inch bubble. Twist the sixth soft about one-inch bubble (Pic 31).

Lock all ends of the last two (the fifth and the sixth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 32).

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 33 and 34). We have made the simple bow with attachment. In the same fashion we can make attachment for the butterfly/ bow.

We can attach the butterfly/ bow to any part of the hat or ears. In this example, I split the first bubble of the hat on two bubbles (Pic 35).

Lock the butterfly/ bow bubbles between front bubbles of the hat (Pic 36 through 38).

In the same fashion we can attach the bow on the top between ears. Just spit the fourth bubble of the hat on two bubbles (Pic 39).

Lock the butterfly/ bow bubbles between the top bubbles of the hat (Pic 40 through 42).

Congratulations, we have made the Mickey or Minnie Mouse hat. Also, we can use one balloon to make two smaller size ears for similar sculpture.
Have fun and happy twisting :)
