Balloon Wreath Hat

Balloon Wreath Hat

Inflate balloons leaving about 2 inch flat tails for making large size hats.
Make about 3 inch or longer tails for smaller size hats.

Tie nozzles of two balloons in one knot.

Hold balloons together and wrap them around each other.

Twist about 1-2 inch long bubbles at the end of the balloons and lock them together in one lock.

Tie both ends of the long bubbles together in one knot.

We have made the base.

Let's use another balloon to make a butterfly/flower/bow-tie.

Tie balloon leaving long nozzle end if you are planning to use it for attachment.

Measure and twist the first bubble.

Twist the second bubble of the same size.

Lock all ends of the first two bubbles in one lock.

Twist the next two bubbles of smaller size.
Make sure to leave about 1-2 inch long bubble at the end.

Lock both ends of all bubbles in one lock.

We have made the butterfly/flower/bow-tie.

Let's attach it to the base.
It's easy to to by wrapping the last small bubble around the base.
Alternatively, you can use the long nozzles to attach the sculpture.

We can rearrange the small bubbles in different ways - keep them on the back or cut them off for an example.

I like to move all small bubbles to the front of the sculpture.

Let's lock both ends of this green bubble in on lock twist.
Here we got a nice looking bow-tie.

Let's use the other two small bubbles for making funny antennas.

I wrap one of the antennas around the knot to make it of the same size as the the other one.
Congratulations! We have made the balloon wreath.

Use a clear sticky tape to hang the balloon wreath on the door.

It makes a nice decoration.

And we can wear the same sculpture as a balloon hat!

Ta-dam!!

Have fun and happy balloons :)
