We have already made balloon heart in the previously published instruction "How to make balloon heart" (Pic 1). Now we can modify this balloon sculpture to make a pierced heart or heart with arrow.

It would take three balloons to make an arrow for this size sculpture. Inflate one balloon (gold or yellow in this example) leaving about 6 cm flat tail (Pic 2).

Twist the first about 8 cm bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the second and the third about 3 cm bubbles (Pic 4).

Lock all ends of the second and the third bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5).

Twist the fourth about 15 cm bubble (Pic 6).

Twist the fifth about 8 cm bubble. Twist the sixth about 20 cm bubble (Pic 7).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last three (the fourth through the sixth) bubbles in one lock twist. Twist the seventh about 20 cm bubble. Twist the eighth about 8 cm bubble. Lock both ends of the chain of the last four (the fifth through the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 8). Basically, we have already made the head of the arrow. You can use it as it is.

I like to make additional the ninth and the tenth about 3 cm bubbles and lock all their ends in one lock twist (Pic 9). The ninth and the tenth bubbles will keep the arrow in fixed position. The rest of the balloon is the eleventh bubble.

Inflate the second balloon leaving about 6 cm flat tail (Pic 10).

Twist the first about 3 cm bubble. Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist. Twist the second about 15 cm bubble. Twist the third and the fourth about 3 cm bubbles (Pic 11).

Lock all ends of the third and the fourth bubbles in one lock twist. Twist the fifth about 20 cm bubble (Pic 12).

Twist the sixth about 8 cm bubble. Lock both ends of the chain of the first six (the first through the sixth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 13).

Twist the seventh about 8 cm bubble. Twist the eighth about 20 cm bubble (Pic 14).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last six (the third through the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 15). We have made the tail of the arrow.

Inflate the third balloon - the size of the tail does not matter (Pic 16). We are going to use this balloon to make the shaft of the arrow.

Use the third balloon to measure the size of the shaft inside between sides of the heart (Pic 17).

Make the shaft of measured size and cut off the rest of the balloon (Pic 18).

Tie ends of the shaft (yellow balloon) between appropriate bubbles of the heart (Pic 19).

How let's attach the head of the arrow to the sculpture. Twist a small bubble at the very end of the first balloon. It's marked with star on the picture 20.

Lock this bubble between bubbles of the heart next to the end of the shaft of the arrow (Pic 21).

Twist a small bubble at the very end of the second balloon. This bubble is marked with red star on the Pic 22.

Lock this bubble between bubbles of the heart next to the end of the shaft of the arrow (Pic 23).

Fix all bubbles in proper positions. Congratulations! We have made pierced heart out of balloons. Have fun and happy twisting :)
