I want to make spiral color pattern using the same technique as in previously published instruction Arch 2 or "How to make balloon arch. Balloon pole". Please check out this instruction for more details and inspirational ideas. Inflate four balloons of two colors leaving about 9 cm flat tails (Pic 1). In this example I am using 2 yellow and 2 blue balloons.

Twist the yellow first soft about 5 cm bubble. Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 2).

Tie nozzles of all balloons with the first yellow bubble (Pic 3). The first yellow bobble serves as additional bubble to hide the knot.

I am going to work two balloons at the same time. Take one yellow and one blue balloons in one hand. Twist and lock the first about 7 - 8 cm bubbles. All other bubbles I am going to twist of about 15 - 18 cm size. Take the second pair of yellow and blue balloons in one hand (Pic 4).

Twist and lock the normal (15 - 18 cm in this example) size bubbles  (Pic 5).

Remember to alternate balloons in each pair to make the spiral pattern (Pic 6).

We can make the sculpture of different sizes. It could be 3 or 4 bubbles long or even longer. We can work full length of the balloons and then attach new sets of balloons. This way we can make very long stick or arch. Stop making bubbles as soon as you reach desirable length. In this example I made 5 or 6 normal size bubbles of each pair. Then you have to twist the half (7 - 8 cm) size pair of bubbles. Lock all four last bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 7).

I am going to use the rest of the balloons to make the top or the head of the scepter. Hold all four balloons in one hand. Twist and lock in one move about 40 cm long bubbles (Pic 8).

Use the rest of one of the yellow balloon to make about 10 - 15 cm long bubble. Lock both ends of the chain of the last two bubbles in one lock twist. This way we fix the long four bubbles in semi circle or shape of letter C. Use the second yellow balloon to make soft about 5 cm long bubble. Lock both ends of this bubble in one lock twist. Cut off the rest of the balloons and tie off the ends (Pic 9 through 11). Congratulations! You have made the balloon scepter or balloon wand.

The scepter is a symbol of power! This sculpture comes nicely with a crown. By order of the king: Have fun and Happy twisting :)
