Balloon letter Ц

Materials: a balloon, an air pump, scissors, sewing thread.
Inflate a balloon leaving about four inches flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first soft about one inch bubble (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 3).

Twist the second about four inches bubble. Twist the third soft about one inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 5).

Twist the fourth about two inches bubble. Twist the fifth soft about one inch bubble (Pic 6).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 7).

Twist the sixth about four inches bubble. Twist the seventh soft about one inch bubble (Pic 8).

Lock both ends of the seventh bubble in one lock twist (Pic 9).

We are going to use the rest of the balloon to make a couple more bubbles. Cut off nicely the rest of the balloon and tie off the ends (Pic 10). At this moment our sculpture looks like upside-down Russian letter П.

Lock the end of  rest of the balloon with the fifth (or third) bubbles (Pic 11).

From here we can work the sculpture in two ways. We can bend the rest of the balloon in a shape of hook. Twist the eighth bubble and cut off the rest of the balloon. I like to fix the little hook ending of letter Ц in more permanent ways.

So, let's twist the eighth about one inch bubble. Twist the ninth soft about one inch bubble (Pic 13).

Lock both ends of the ninth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 14).

Twist the tenth about one inch bubble (Pic 15).

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 16). Congratulations, we have made the Russian letter Ц.

Use sewing thread to fix bubbles of our sculpture in proper positions and to attach it to other letters. Have fun and happy  twisting :)
