Balloon piglet


Materials: four balloons; an air pump; a permanent marker and scissors.

The first three bubbles you twist in the bird body fold to make eyes. Inflate a white balloon leaving an eight—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first two—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Twist the second two—inch bubble (Pic 3).

Lock both ends of the chain of two (the first and the second) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 4). This step is marked with arrows between points A and C on the scheme 1.

Twist the third two—inch bubble (Pic 5).

Lock the free end of the third bubble between the first and second bubbles (Pic 6). This step is marked with arrows between points B and D on the scheme 1.

Twist the fourth one—inch bubble (Pic 7).

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 8 and 9). The fourth bubble keeps the eyes in a fixed position.


Inflate a pink balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 10).

The first bubble you twist in the tulip twist to make the snout. Make the first one—inch bubble (Pic 11 and 12). This step is marked with arrow between points A and B on the scheme 2.


Lock the nozzle of the white balloon around the free end (point B on the scheme 2) of the first bubble of the pink balloon (Pic 13 and 14).


Twist the second three—inch bubble (Pic 15).

Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 16). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on scheme 2.

Twist the third four—inch bubble (Pic 17).

Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 18). This step is marked with arrows between points C and D on the scheme 2.

Twist the 4th three—inch bubble (Pic 19).

Twist the fifth soft two—inch bubble (Pic 20).

Twist the sixth two—inch bubble (Pic 21).

Twist the 7th soft two—inch bubble (Pic 22).

Twist the eighth three—inch bubble (Pic 23).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the fourth through the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist. This step is marked with arrows between points D and I on the scheme 2. Force and lock the fourth bubble of the white balloon through the loop of the chain of five bubbles of the pink balloon (Pic 24 and 25).


Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 26). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme 2.

Lock both ends of the seventh bubble in one lock twist (Pic 27 and 28). This step is marked with arrows between points G and H on the scheme 2.


Use the permanent marker to draw the face. You have made the head (Pic 29 and 30).


I choose a blue balloon to make the arms and the body. Inflate the blue balloon leaving a four—inch flat tail (Pic 31).

Twist the first two—inch bubble (Pic 32).

Twist the second four—inch bubble (Pic 33).

Lock both ends of the 2nd bubble in one lock twist (Pic 34). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 3.

Twist the third four—inch bubble (Pic 35).

Twist the ninth one—inch bubble of the pink balloon (Pic 36). It’s the neck of the pig.

Lock the free end (Point J on the scheme 2) of the ninth bubble of the pink balloon with the free end of the third bubble (Point C on the scheme 3) of the blue balloon (Pic 37). You’ve made the arm of the pig.

Twist the tenth five—inch bubble of the pink balloon (Pic 38). It’s the body of the pig. The rest of the pink balloon is the eleventh bubble. It’s the tail.

Twist the fourth five—inch bubble of the blue balloon (Pic 39).

Lock the free end of the tenth bubble (Point K on the scheme 2) of the pink balloon with the free end of the fourth bubble (Point D on the scheme 3) of the blue balloon (Pic 40).

Twist the fifth five—inch bubble of the blue balloon (Pic 41).

Lock the free end of the fifth bubble between the neck and the body of the pig (Pic 42). This step is marked with the arrows between points C and E on the scheme 3.

Twist the sixth soft two—inch bubble of the blue balloon (Pic 43).

Lock both ends of the sixth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 44). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme 3. The sixth bubble keeps the neck in a fixed position.

Use the rest of the blue balloon to make the second arm. Twist the seventh four—inch bubble (Pic 45).

Twist the eighth four—inch bubble (Pic 46).

Lock both ends of the eighth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 47 and 48). This step is marked with arrows between points G and H on the scheme 3. The rest of the balloon is the ninth bubble. If it’s too long then you may twist the ninth two—inch bubble. Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end.


Use the second pink balloon to make the legs of the pig. Inflate the pink balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 49).

Twist the first two—inch bubble (Pic 50).

Twist the second four—inch bubble (Pic 51).

Lock both ends of the 2nd bubble in one lock twist (Pic 52). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 4.

Twist the third four—inch bubble (Pic 53).

Lock the free end of the third bubble (Point C on the scheme 4) between the body and the tail of the pig (Pic 54).

Twist the fourth four—inch bubble (Pic 55).

Twist the fifth four—inch bubble (Pic 56).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 57). This step is marked with arrows between points D and E on the scheme 4.

Twist the sixth two—inch bubble. Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 58 ad 59). Congratulations, you have made the pig. Have fun and happy twisting :)
