This is my favorite hat. It’s easy and fast to make it. The biggest convenience of this hat is that you don’t have to worry about the size. This hat fits any size head! After you make the hat you may adjust its size to desirable size without untwisting bubbles. It’s very convenient if you prepare the hat in advance. Inflate a balloon leaving up to 1/3—inch of a flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first twelve—inch bubble (Pic 2 and 3).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 4). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 1.

Twist the 2nd twelve—inch bubble (Pic 5 and 6).

Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 7). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme 1.

You have made a stick with two loops on it. Fully inflate the second balloon (Pic 8).

Force one end of the 2nd balloon through the loop of the first balloon (Pic 9).

Force the other end of the 2nd balloon through the other loop of the 1st balloon (Pic 10 through 11).

Twist the first one—inch bubble at the end of the second balloon (Pic 12).

Twist the third one—inch bubble at the other end of the second balloon (Pic 13).

Lock both ends of the second bubble of the second balloon in one lock twist (Pic 14). This step is marked with the arrows between points A and B on the scheme 2.

Twist the fourth one—inch bubble at the end of the first balloon (Pic 15).

Lock the fourth bubble of the first balloon between bubbles of the 2nd balloon (Pic 16 and 17).

Congratulations, you have made the baseball cap. You may wear this hat as it is (Pic 18 and 19) or attach any balloon sculpture to it.

You easily can make a duck hat. First you have to make the hat as described above. Use a red or yellow balloon for the beak and a green balloon for the head. Then you have to make eye bubbles. Inflate a white balloon leaving a nine—inch flat tail (Pic 20).

Twist the first three—inch bubble (Pic 21).

Twist the second three—inch bubble (Pic 22).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first two (the 1st and the 2nd) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 23).

The rest of the balloon is the third bubble. Cut of the third bubble and tie off the end (Pic 24).

Attach the eye bubbles between the loops of the green bubble (Pic 25 and 26).

Twist an additional three—inch bubble of the green balloon to lock the other end of the eye bubbles (Pic 27).

Lock the free end of the additional bubble of the green balloon between eye bubbles (Pic 28 through 30). You have made the bird body twist. There are more detailed instruction for the bird body twist: Parrot 1 and Parrot 2).

Use a permanent marker to draw the eyes (Pic 29).

Bend the yellow balloon to shape the beak (Pic 31 through 33). Congratulations, you have made the duck hat.
Have fun and happy twisting :)
