Balloon bunny


Materials: two balloons; an air pump and a permanent marker.

Inflate a balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first soft one—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 3). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 1. You have made the nose.

The next two bubbles you twist to make the teeth. Twist the second one—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Twist the third one—inch bubble (Pic 5).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the second and the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 6). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme 1. You have made the teeth.

Twist the fourth two—inch bubble (Pic 7).

Twist the fifth five—inch bubble (Pic 8).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 9). This step is marked with arrows between points D and E on the scheme 1.

Twist the 6th five—inch bubble (Pic 10).

Lock both ends of the sixth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 11 and 12). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme 1.


Twist the 7th three—inch bubble (Pic 13).

Twist the eighth soft one—inch bubble (Pic 14).

Lock both ends of the 8th bubble in one lock twist (Pic 15). This step is marked with arrows between points G and H on the scheme 1. The eighth bubble keeps the ears in a fixed position. 

The next two bubbles you twist to make the ears. Twist the ninth nine—inch bubble (Pic 16).

Twist the tenth nine—inch bubble (Pic 17).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the ninth and the tenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 18). This step is marked with arrows between points H and J on the scheme 1.

Twist the eleventh three—inch bubble (Pic 19).

Lock the free end of the eleventh bubble between the fifth and sixth bubbles (Pic 20 through 24). This step is marked with arrows between points F and K on the scheme 1. The rest of the balloon is the twelfth bubble. The twelfth bubble is the neck.





You may fix the twelfth bubble in different positions depending on the way you want to attach the head. Or you may cut it off. Use the permanent marker to draw the face (Pic 25 and 26).


You may attach the head to a hat or a bodyInflate the second balloon (Pic 27).

Use the balloon to measure the head of the person you’re making the hat for. Use the middle part of the balloon to make a loop around the head. Both ends of the balloon should be of the same size (Pic 28).

You have to twist three bubbles. Mark the place where you’re going to make the twist (Pic 29).

Twist the 1st bubble (Pic 30).

Twist the 2nd bubble (Pic 31).

The rest of the balloon is the third bubble. Make sure the first and third bubbles are of the same size. Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist (Pic 32). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme 2.

Twist the thirteenth one—inch bubble at the end of the neck (Pic 33).

Force the twelfth bubble (point L on the scheme 1) between the first and the third bubbles of the second balloon (Pic 34 through 36).



Congratulations, you have made the bunny and attached it to the hat (Pic 37 through 39).



You may attach the head to the body 5 (Pic 40 and 41). Have fun and happy twisting :)
