Inflate a balloon of appropriate color leaving about 15 - 18 cm flat tail (Pic 1).

We are going to twist all bubbles of the same about 3 cm size. Twist a chain of the first three bubbles (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first three bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 3). We have made the first section. Our sculpture will have total of fife sections.

We have to make all sections of the same size. Twist a chain of the next three (the fourth through the sixth) bubbles (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last three bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5). We have made the second section.

Make the third section (Pic 6).

Make the fourth section (Pic 7).

Make the fifth section (Pic 8 and 9). Congratulation, we have made one balloon five pointed star or one balloon wand.

We can cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 10).

We can modify this sculpture in many different ways. For example we can make additional bubble to cover the center of the sculpture on the front and one the back sides. We can lock both ends of second bubbles of each section (Pic 11 and 12).

Let's twist the sixteenth soft about 3 cm bubble (Pic 13).

Lock both ends of the sixteenth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 14 and 15). This bubble covers the center of the sculpture on the front side.

Twist the seventeenth soft about 3 cm bubble (Pic 16).

Lock both ends of the seventeenth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 17 - 19). This bubble covers the center of the sculpture on the back side.

We can use any color balloons to make stars and wands. To make a snowflake we have to use white balloon (Pic 19 and 20).

I think that snowflake looks better without additional bubbles at the center of the sculpture (Pic 21 and 22).

In this example I locked both ends of second bubbles of each section. This way the points of the star or snowflake looks sharper (Pic 23).

Congratulations! We have made one balloon snowflake (Pic 24).

I am going to use the yellow (gold) star to decorate top of the Christmas tree (Pic 25). I am going to explain how to make Christmas tree in the next instruction.

Have fun and happy twisting :)
