Balloon Spider-man

Materials: a balloon; an air pump and a permanent marker.

We are going to make the body 6 (muscle) with one extra bubble for the head. Inflate a balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

The first three bubbles you twist to make the arm. Twist the first three—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Twist the second one—inch bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the third three—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first three (the first through the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme.

The next three bubbles you twist to make the second arm. Twist the fourth three—inch bubble (Pic 6).

Twist the fifth one—bubble (Pic 7).

Twist the sixth three—inch bubble (Pic 8).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last three (the fourth through the sixth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 9). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme. It’s the second arm.

Twist the seventh five—inch bubble (Pic 10).

Lock both ends of the seventh bubble in one lock twist (Pic 11). This step is marked with arrows between points C and D. It’s the head.

The next five bubbles you twist to make the body. Twist the eighth one—inch bubble (Pic 12).

Twist the ninth one—inch bubble (Pic 13).

Twist the tenth one—inch bubble (Pic 14).

Twist the eleventh one—inch bubble (Pic 15).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last four (the eighth through the eleventh) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 16). This step is marked with arrows between points D and F on the scheme.

Twist the twelfth three—inch bubble (Pic 17).

Lock the free end of the twelfth bubble between the ninth and tenth bubbles (Pic 18 and 19). This step is marked with red arrows between points G and H on the scheme. You have made the muscle body.

The next three bubbles you twist to make the legs. Twist the thirteenth three—inch bubble (Pic 20).

Twist the fourteenth one—inch bubble (Pic 21).

Twist the 15th three—inch bubble (Pic 22). The rest of the balloon is the sixteenth bubble.

Lock both ends of the chain of the last three (the thirteenth through fifteenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 23 through 25). This step is marked with arrows between points H and G on the scheme. Use the permanent marker to draw the face. Congratulations, you have made the Spiderman. You can use this sculpture as it is or attach it to any hat or a stick. Have fun and happy twisting :)
