Balloon Shrek


Materials: four balloons; an air pump; a permanent marker and scissors.

Inflate a balloon leaving a three—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first two—inch bubble. It’s the ear (Pic 2).

Twist the second five—inch bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the third five—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the second and the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5). This step is marked with arrows between points A and C on the scheme.

Twist the fourth three—inch bubble (Pic 6).

Twist the fifth soft two—inch bubble (Pic 7).

Twist the sixth three—inch bubble (Pic 8).

Lock the free end of the sixth bubble between the second and third bubbles (Pic 9 and 10). This step is marked with arrows between points B and F on the scheme.


Twist the seventh five—inch bubble (Pic 11).

Lock the free end of the seventh bubble around the first bubble (Pic 12 and 13). This step is marked with arrows between points A and G on the scheme.


Twist the eighth five—inch bubble (Pic 14). The rest of the balloon is the ninth bubble. Make the ninth bubble of the same size as the first bubble.

Lock the free end of the eighth bubble between the sixth and the second bubbles (Pic 15 through 17). This step is marked with arrows between points F and H on the scheme. The ninth bubble is the ear.



Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 18 and 19). This step is marked with arrows between points D and E on the scheme. It’s the nose. You made the head.


Choose any light color balloon to make eyes. Inflate one three—inch bubble (Pic 20). Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end.

Split this bubble on two bubbles of the same size. You have made the eye bubbles (Pic 21).

Lock the eye bubbles to the nose (the fifth) bubble of the head (Pic 22 and 23).


Use the permanent marker to draw the eyes (Pic 24).

Attach the head to the body 3 (fat)Force the neck bubble of the body between the bubbles of the head (Pic 25 and 26).


Congratulations, you have made Shrek (Pic 27 through 29). Have fun and happy twisting :)
