Butterfly of balloons

Let's make the wings.

 Inflate a balloon of desirable color (white) leaving about 1-2 cm flat tail.

 Don't tie off the balloon yet!

Deflate about 10-15 cm from the nozzle end of the balloon.

Tie off the balloon making about 2-3 cm flat tail on the nozzle end of the balloon. We are going to use this flat tail to attach wings to the body.

Squeeze the balloon to inflate the flat tail on the round end of the balloon.

Twist the first about 3 cm bubble at the round end of the balloon.

Lock the first bubble with the nozzle of the balloon.

We have made one loop.

Split the balloon on two bubbles of different size as to make shape of 8. You have to lock ends of all bubbles in one lock twist. Make one bubble about 10-20 cm shorter than the other. 

We have two loops. Split each loop on two parts to make two pairs of wings.

Keep free the tail on the nozzle end!

Fix bubbles in proper positions. We have made two pairs of wings or a bow.

Let's make antennas. Inflate a balloon of desirable (red) color making about 3-6 cm bubble.

Stretch the round tip of the end of the balloon. Pump half of the air to the tip of the balloon.

We have made two bubbles of about the same size.

Tie a knot at the free end of the bubble at the round end of the balloon to prevent air flow between bubbles. We have prepared antennas.

Inflate a third (pink) balloon of desirable color leaving about 7-8 cm flat tail.

Twist the first about 2 cm bubble. It is an additional bubble. We are going to use it to make a tulip twist.

Wrap middle of the antennas around free end of the first (pink) bubble of the third balloon.

Force the first (pink) bubble with antennas about 5-8 cm inside of the balloon. 

Twist the second (pink) about 5 cm bubble. We have made the head. The first (pink) bubble is inside of the balloon.

Twist the next (pink) about 10-13 cm bubble. It is body.

The next bubble we twist to make the loop around your arm for the bracelet or loop around your head to make a hat.

I am going to make it as a bracelet in this example.

Lock both ends of the last bubble in one lock twist.

Twist the next soft about 3-8 cm bubble.

Lock both ends of the last bubble in one lock twist.

Cut off the rest of the balloon. 

Now we have to attach the wings to the body.

Tie the flat tail of the wings (white) balloon between the head and the body (pink) bubbles.

Fix all bubbles in proper positions. Congratulations! We have made a butterfly bracelet.

You can use it as it is. Or use a permanent black marker to draw the face.
