Inflate a balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 1).
You twist the first two bubbles in the ear twists to make the mouth/lips of the horse. Twist the first soft one—inch bubble. You have to squeeze the bubble in your left hand (Pic 2).
Hold the balloon in your right hand at the twist point (Pic 3). The first twist point is marked with letter B on the scheme.
Hold the squeezed bubble in your left hand and twist the balloon with your right hand (Pic 4).
Twist the bubble 4—5 times to secure it (Pic 5). The bubble should be soft enough for you to squeeze it and feel the touch of your fingers through the bubble. If the bubble is not soft you have to untwist it partially and let some of the air out of the bubble, then twist the bubble back 4—5 times.
Twist the second soft one—inch bubble (Pic 6 through 9). The second twist point is marked with the letter C on the scheme.
Fold the first and the second bubbles together (Pic 10).
Lock both ends of the chain of two (the 1st and the 2nd) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 11 through 13). This step is marked with arrows between points A and C on the scheme.
Lock both ends of the first or the second bubble in one lock twist. Thus you make two ear twists in one step. Hold the first bubble between your left hand thumb and the index finger (Pic 14).
Hold the 2nd bubble between your right hand thumb and the index finger (Pic 15).
Lock both ends of both bubbles in one lock twist by rotating the bubbles into opposite directions (Pic 16). This step is marked with arrows between points A—B and B—C on the scheme.
You have made the mouth/lips (Pic 17 and 18).
Twist the third two—inch bubble (Pic 19). It’s a muzzle.
The next two bubbles you twist to make the ears. Twist the fourth two—inch bubble (Pic 20).
Twist the fifth two—inch bubble (Pic 21).
Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the fourth and the fifth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 22 through 25). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme.
Twist the sixth three—inch bubble (Pic 26). It’s the neck.
The next three bubbles you twist to make the front legs. You may want to put this sculpture on a stick. You have to make additional space (one small bubble) between each pair of legs for the stick. That’s why you need to make three bubbles for each pair of legs. Twist the seventh three—inch bubble (Pic 27).
Twist the eighth one—inch bubble (Pic 28).
Twist the ninth three—inch bubble (Pic 29).
Lock both ends of the chain of the last three (the seventh through the ninth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 30). This step is marked with arrows between points D and E on the scheme. You have made the front legs.
Twist the tenth three—inch bubble (Pic 31). It’s the body.
The next three bubbles you twist to make the rear legs. Twist the eleventh three—inch bubble (Pic 32).
Twist the twelfth one—inch bubble (Pic 33).
Twist the 13th three—inch bubble (Pic 34).
Lock both ends of the chain of the last three (the eleventh through the thirteenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 35). This step is marked with the arrows between points H and I on the scheme. The rest of the balloon is the fourteenth bubble. It’s the tail.
Use a different color balloon to make the mane of the horse (Pic 36).
Twist a chain of six half—inch bubbles (Pic 37).
Lock both ends of the chain of the six bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 38).
Attach the mane (a loop of six bubbles) to the neck (Pic 39).
Put the muzzle of the horse through the loop of six bubbles (Pic 40).
Stretch the twist between the third and fourth bubbles of the chain and force it under the ears of the horse (Pic 41).
Stretch the twist between the first and sixth bubbles of the chain and force it between the neck and front legs of the horse (Pic 42).
The mane is attached to the neck (Pic 43).
Cut off the rest of the second balloon and tie off the end (Pic 44).
Congratulations, you have made the horse (Pic 45 and 46). Use the permanent marker to draw the face.
Use white and black balloons to make a zebra (Pic 47).
