One Balloon Caterpillar
Buy balloons on Amazon (paid link):
Buy an air pump on Amazon (paid link):
Inflate a 260 modeling balloon leaving about two palms long flat tail.
Twist less than one inch long bubble and force it inside of the balloon.
Twist another about one inch long bubble.
We have made a tulip twist!
Make a chain of tulip twists working in the same fashion.
I usually put a chain of 5 bubbles inside of the balloon before making the final larger size bubble.
You should have about 3-4 fingers long flat tail before making the last bubble.
Now let's make the last about 2 inch long bubble.
It's going to be the head of the caterpillar.
Make sure to leave at least 1 cm long flat tail.
Deflate the rest of the balloon by cutting hole at the end.
Squeeze the air out of the flat tail working from the head toward the end of the balloon.
It really helps to have longer flat tail for making this sculpture 😉
Congratulations! We have made one balloon caterpillar.
We can make longer caterpillar as shown in my previously published video "how to make dreadlocks".
Leave it as it is or use a permanent marker to draw the face.
This is one of the most durable sculptures 😉
