Balloon letter Э

Materials: a balloon, an air pump, scissors and sewing thread.
 Inflate a balloon leaving about five inch flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first soft about one inch bubble (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 3).

Twist the second about one inch bubble. Twist the third soft about one inch bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 5). Bend the balloon in semicircle shape to measure the size of the fourth bubble.

Twist the fourth about seven-eight inch bubble. Twist the fifth soft about one inch bubble (Pic 6).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 7).

Twist the sixth about one inch bubble. Later we are going to cut the sixth bubble. Twist the seventh soft about one inch bubble (Pic 8).

Lock both ends of the seventh bubble in one lock twist (Pic 9).

Twist the eighth about seven-eight inch bubble (Pic 10). The eighth bubble should be of the same size as the fourth bubble.

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the fourth through the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 11).

Cut off the rest of the balloon and tie off the end (Pic 12).

Use scissors to cut the sixth bubble (Pic 13).

Use sewing thread of appropriate color to secure ends of the sculpture. Simply loop the sewing thread around the first, the fifth and the seventh bubbles. Bend the fourth and the eighth bubbles to shape the sculpture in letter Э. Secure the shape of our sculpture with sewing thread (Pic 14). Congratulations, we have made the Russian letter Э.
