First we are going to make a blossom. Then we will attach it to a stem. Inflate a pink (or any other lovely color) balloon leaving about four—inch flat tail (Pic 1).
We are going to twist the first three bubbles to make a curved top of petals. Twist a chain of the first two (the first and the second) soft one inch bubbles (Pic 2).
Lock all ends of the first two bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 3 and 4).
Twist the third soft one inch bubble (Pic 5).
Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 6 and 7).
We are going to make two sets of petals. One set of three long petals. And one set of three short petals. Squeeze the rest of the balloon to make it soft. Make sure to leave at least one—inch flat tail at the end of the balloon. Fold the balloon four times to find the size of a long petal. Twist the chain of the next two (the fourth and the fifth) bubbles (Pic 8).
Lock both ends of the chain of the last two bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 9).
Twist the sixth bubble (Pic 10).
Lock the free end of the sixth bubble between the fourth and the fifth bubble (Pic 11). We have made the set of three long petals.
Fold the rest of the balloon three times to find the size of the next three bubbles. Twist the chain of three (the seventh through the ninth) bubbles. Make sure to leave at least a half of inch flat tail at the end of the balloon (Pic 12). Or we could make the tenth small bubble and use it as a lock if you run out of the flat tail.
Lock both ends of the chain of two (the seventh and the eighth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 13).
Lock the free end of the ninth bubble between the seventh and the eighth bubble (Pic 14). We have made the set of three short petals.
Force the set of short petals inside between the long petals (Pic 15 through 18).
Inflate the green balloon leaving about two—inch flat tail to make the stem (Pic 19).
Attach the nozzle of green balloon to the bottom of the blossom (simply wind the green knot between pink bubbles). Twist the first green about six—inch bubble (Pic 20).
Let’s make the stem with two leaves. Twist a chain of the next two (the second and the third) green about thirteen inch bubbles (Pic 21).
Lock all ends of the last two (the second and the third) green bubbles in one lock twist. Bend the leaves to shape it properly (Pic 22 and 23). Congratulations, you have made the flower.
We can make a simple blossom, without curved ends (Pic 24 and 25).
Wave leaves around each other and fix the stem inside between the leaves (Pic 26 and 27).
Flowers look better in a bouquet (Pic 28).
Also we can make the curved ends for the short petals. It seems a bit easier to attach the stem between petals before we put the set of short petals inside between the long petals (Pic 29).
Below is example of a stem with three leaves (Pic 30 through 33). Have fun and happy twisting :)
